चर्चा ‘ऋषी’चे कूळ,भारतीय मूळ याचीच

भारतीय वंशाचे ऋषी सुनक हे ब्रिटनच्या पंतप्रधान पदी आले आहेत. ऋषी सुनक पंतप्रधान पदी आले त्यामुळे भारतीयांच्या माना देखील उंचावल्या आहेत. पण एखाद्या भारतीय वंशाच्या व्यक्तीने एखाद्या देशात प्रशासकीय सेवेत उच्च पदावर जाण्याची ही पहिली वेळ नाहीये. पण अर्थात इतिहास पाहता ब्रिटनमध्ये भारतीय वंशाची व्यक्ती पंतप्रधान पदी बसणं हे विशेष आहे. पण जगभरातल्या अनेक देशांमध्ये भारतीयांचा डंका चांगलाच वाजला आहे. त्यांनी जबरदस्त यश मिळवलं आहे. भारतीय वंशाच्या किमान २०० नेत्यांनी १५ देशांमध्ये महत्त्वाच्या सार्वजनिक पदांवर काम केलंय. यापैकी किमान ६० व्यक्ती वेगवेगळ्या देशांमध्ये कॅबिनेट पदांवर आहेत. At least 200 leaders of Indian origin have held important public positions in 15 countries. At least 60 of these individuals hold cabinet positions in different countries.
